McKenzie is the founder and driving force behind UltraPaws — a business built from his lifelong love of dogs, the outdoors, and meaningful connection.

Over the years, McKenzie has shared his life with several rescue dogs, each one shaping his understanding of patience, trust, and compassion. His most recent companion, Luna, was rescued from war‑torn Ukraine and has become a huge part of the UltraPaws story. Their bond reflects everything McKenzie believes in: giving animals a second chance, creating safe adventures, and building trust through kindness.

Before launching UltraPaws, McKenzie spent many years working in fraud prevention, followed by a move into supporting vulnerable children. Although both roles were important and impactful, he knew something was missing. It wasn’t until he looked at his own life — his love for dogs, his passion for running and ultra‑marathons, and his constant pull toward the outdoors — that the answer became clear.

Animals were what he needed.

And UltraPaws was born.

Today, McKenzie combines his outdoor lifestyle with his dedication to animal welfare, offering dogs the chance to explore, adventure, and thrive. Whether he’s leading a moorland trek, supporting a nervous rescue, or planning the next big UltraPaws idea, McKenzie brings heart, experience, and unwavering commitment to every dog in his care.

Mark Tyson-Shore

Mark is the co‑founder of UltraPaws and a dedicated advocate for animal welfare. He works full‑time in the health and social care sector as a Service Manager, supporting vulnerable adults with compassion, patience, and professionalism. Those same values shape the way he cares for every dog that joins the UltraPaws family.

A bit of a tech wizard, Mark also manages all things digital at UltraPaws — from social media and website updates to blogs, branding, and behind‑the‑scenes content. If it’s online, Mark’s probably built it, fixed it, or improved it.

In the evenings and at weekends, you’ll find him either out on dog walks or crafting the next piece of UltraPaws magic for our community. His love for dogs, combined with his creativity and commitment, helps drive the heart and personality of the UltraPaws brand.

Mak wasn’t just a dog — he was family.

He arrived in McKenzie’s life as a rescue, but quickly became so much more. Mak taught him what unconditional love truly looks like, how patience can change a life, and what loyalty feels like when it’s given freely and without hesitation. He showed McKenzie the real meaning of connection — the kind that stays with you forever.

Mak’s spirit is woven into everything McKenzie and the UltraPaws team do. Every walk, every adventure, every moment of care is inspired by him and carried out in his memory. He set the standard for what love, trust, and companionship should look like, and that standard guides UltraPaws every single day.
